In this episode, Jason and Jim are joined by Carolene Meli to talk about the power of experience, mentorship and being a leader that others want to follow.
Carolene Méli is an Experience Strategist and Leadership Mentor helping businesses create exceptional experiences for their young employees through her leadership program ‘Better Your Leadership’ as well as private consulting.
Her expertise stems from over 15 years in global events and entertainment predominantly working for Cirque du Soleil where she ran VIP experience teams across 17 different countries. She also ran the entertainment department on a cruise ship and was part of numerous store opening teams at Lululemon Athletica.
Carolene was a gymnast for 10 years, training up to 30 hours a week at the peak of her gymnastics career. Once she retired, she transitioned into many other sports offered at her high school and eventually became captain of both the field hockey and track and field teams. Her love for sports and mentorship led her to become a gymnastics coach in both Australia and France and even though now she no longer coaches, mentorship is still something she is actively involved in with her work.
Carolene is an avid traveller, having travelled to 41 countries and is currently based in Montenegro. She hosts The Experience Creators on YouTube where she interviews incredible experience creators from around the world diving into her belief that ‘one great experience has the potential to change someone’s world’.
