#90 Rob Pallante: How can parents use sports to help their child become more confident?

In episode 90 of the 4D Athletes podcast, Jim and Jason are joined by Rob Pallante to talk about how parents can use sports to help their child increase their confidence in life

Rob Pallante grew up in Mississauga Ontario, a suburb west of Toronto. He enjoyed many sports but like most Canadian kids he gravitated towards hockey. He excelled at the sport and played at the highest competitive level in the city.

He was drafted 52nd overall in the OHL draft in 1986 by the Sudbury Wolves but instead chose to pursue a scholarship. He had multiple offers but chose to go to Michigan Tech to be a Huskie in the fall of 1987.

After missing his draft year due to injury, he left school in 1991 and was invited to attend the Minnesota North Stars training camp in 1992. He spent the next few years in the minor leagues never quitting to find his stride.

After leaving the game in 1996 he turned his attention to the business world and spent the next 23 years building a resume of success in sales, business development and corporate leadership.

Today Rob has been given a second chance at life after a near death motorcycle accident in 2015. His new mission is to help young athletes develop an invincible mindset and help them build a foundation of core values and character that will propel them in their sport and life after

sports.
